Our Network

Our Partners

We are looking for long term partners to help us carry this work further.

Our Network

We are looking for partners who stay.

Smiles Bring Hope has never been able to do this work alone, and we have never wanted to. The organizations below walked with us through the years that built us. What we are looking for now is the next group of them: long term partners willing to commit to communities over years rather than visits, as we look toward the Dominican Republic and St. Lucia.

Partner Organizations

Six organizations who chose to stay.

MEDICO

Honduras and Central America

Focus: Medical, eye, and dental care in rural communities

MEDICO, the Medical, Eye and Dental International Care Organization, has spent more than thirty years bringing medical, eye, and dental care to rural communities across Honduras. Their work runs from field clinics and community health education to clinic repairs, water systems, and school construction.

We have partnered with MEDICO in shared service, and their model of staying with a community for decades is the model we are building toward.

Partnership: shared service in international care delivery

Young Life International

Dominican Republic

Focus: Youth ministry and long term community presence

Young Life is an international Christian youth organization that has worked alongside young people since 1941, meeting middle school, high school, and university students where they are. In the Dominican Republic their work reaches students nationwide and includes Pico Escondido, their camp in the central mountains.

We have partnered with Young Life, and their long standing presence in the Dominican Republic is part of why we are looking toward that country next.

Partnership: shared service and community connection in the Dominican Republic

Siena University

Loudonville, New York

Focus: Pre-dental student education and service learning

Siena University, formerly Siena College, has partnered with us to connect pre-dental students to service. Students have joined clinical missions, gaining real experience while supporting the work. This partnership has always bridged education and service.

Partnership: student engagement and service learning

La Salle Institute

Troy, New York

Focus: Educational partnership and global connections

Our first institutional partner in Troy, New York. La Salle Institute introduced us to St. Mary's in Kenya, a brother school, and that single introduction is the reason our work became international. It remains the clearest proof we have of what one committed partner can set in motion.

Partnership: first local partnership, global school network connection

St. Mary's School

Nyeri, Kenya

Focus: Sustainable clinic infrastructure and community care

A brother school to La Salle Institute, administered by the De La Salle Christian Brothers, St. Mary's in Nyeri hosts the New Hope Dental Clinic. This partnership gave us permanent, professional-grade dental infrastructure serving Kenyan students and surrounding communities year-round.

Partnership: permanent clinic facility and ongoing care

La Vie Foundation

Kenya

Focus: Community development and medical mission coordination

A Kenyan nonprofit working in skills development, capacity building, and community welfare. La Vie has been instrumental in connecting us with communities, organizing large-scale medical camps, and building sustainable healthcare in underserved Kenyan regions.

Partnership: mission coordination and community connection

Where We Are Heading

Kenya taught us how. The Caribbean is where we are looking next.

Everything we know how to do, we learned in Kenya. The New Hope Dental Clinic, the years of medical camps, the partnerships that made them possible: that is the foundation under this organization, and it is not going anywhere.

What we are planning now is a move toward the Dominican Republic and St. Lucia. These are the regions we want to explore next, and we are honest that plans of this size are not built by one organization. They are built by long term partners who commit to a place and stay with it.

Become a Partner

If your community shares our conviction, let us talk.

Schools, churches, faith communities, healthcare organizations: there is room for you in this work. We are most interested in partners thinking in years, not in single trips. Four common paths into partnership with us.

Path 01

Educational Institutions

Partner with us to connect students to service learning and real experience in dental care delivery to underserved communities.

Path 02

Faith Communities

Churches and faith-based organizations partner with us to bring professional dental care to your congregation and community.

Path 03

Community Organizations

Schools, nonprofits, and community groups collaborate with us to bring dental care to the people you already serve.

Path 04

International Partners

Healthcare organizations, schools, and networks, particularly in the Dominican Republic and St. Lucia: let us build sustainable dental infrastructure together.

Please note: we are not accepting new training program placements at this time. Training local clinicians has always been central to how we work, and we look forward to reopening these programs alongside the right long term partners.

Talk Partnership

We are looking for partners for the long road.

If your organization is willing to commit to a community over years rather than weeks, we would like to hear from you. Tell us who you are, who you serve, and what shared work might look like. We will reach back.
